<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We are looking
for a self-motivated, enthusiastic Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, to work
with us to support us in the delivery of our services. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For us, it is more important to find the right fit for our company, so we can accommodate a part time, or full time role and we can accommodate remote working for those with a little more experience, or office working from our lovely offices in Northwich, Cheshire. You can fix your own hours in advance, choosing a working pattern that suits you. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Qualifications (desirable)</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Level 1 Nurse, NMC registration code RN1, RNA. Occupational Health Qualification (Cert, Diploma, Degree). However we would also consider nurses without the occupational health qualification who are looking to complete this in the future, or who would be interested in screening work.   </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The role entails the following skills, so these are desirable. However if you do not have this experience but are keen to learn, please let us know as part of your application as we may be able to include this within the training: </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We have both screening roles available for health surveillance contracts, and case management roles for absence management contracts. Dependant upon your skills and career aspirations, the role could involve either or both of these.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For case managament roles you will be undertaking occupational health and pre-placement assessment via telephone assessment or via our new video platform ‘Smart Clinic’ (<a href="http://www.smartclinic.com">www.smartclinic.com</a>).  </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Training will
be provided for the video platform. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You are
required to keep clear and accurate records, using our system, ensuring records
are always kept confidentially and securely. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You will be
asked to triage where needed with effective signposting to appropriate
services.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We will expect
you to contribute to the internal clinical audit process, continuously evaluating
your own practice and contributing towards the practice of others. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Adherence to our KPIs always is key to our service delivery.  We ask you to work cooperatively with our colleagues and clients and respect the skills, expertise and contributions of others. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Stress and mental wellbeing risk assessment: Management referral</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Launched July 2021</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is a three-part assessment, producing scores and risk categories for your member of staff, so you have a greater insight into their current wellbeing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This service can be used as a screening tool to determine whether you feel a referral for an occupational health assessment (or any other service) is necessary, or to help you manage any stress related risk factors within the workplace.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Our return-to-work questionnaire service provides your employee with a link to a questionnaire that they can complete and submit to their referrer in plenty of time.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This will produce a report which gets sent to you, providing you with a great template for your return-to-work meeting, and encourages open and honest dialogue.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Anxiety management: employee self-referral</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Launched May 2020</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This service has been around a while now, but has proved extremely popular. With levels of anxiety at an all time high, staff can refer themselves to this specialist service for support.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Our clinical team will help your staff to manage their anxieties, giving them therapy and exercises as required.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Online cognitive behavioural therapy</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Launched May 2021</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Talking therapy isn’t for everyone. As an alternative we have partnered with ‘Beating The Blues’ to also offer a specialist inline cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) programme.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is an online programme which staff can complete in their own time. It takes approximately eight weeks, and is helpful for confidence, negative thinking, anxiety, stress, depression and other similar conditions.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When we’ve engaged with our clients to find out what they
need help with, stress risk assessments came out as being one of the most
commonly suggested services. So we’ve developed a fantastic new option to add
to our ever increasing suite of support for clients. It’s called our stress and
mental wellbeing risk assessment. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In summary, this is a management referral service that allows staff to complete well recognised psychological assessment tools, providing greater insight into their current mental wellbeing and perceptions of their levels of stress. </p>

to make adjustments to support staff wellbeing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As this is not a clinically managed service, turnaround
times are fast. In fact, they’re immediate. Your member of staff can complete
the assessment as soon as you make the referral, and will be able to release
the report to you there and then, meaning you have access to information as
quickly as you need it. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This service can be used as a screening tool to determine
whether you feel a referral for an occupational health assessment (or any other
service) is necessary, or to help you manage any stress related risk factors
within the workplace. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This ensures you have the tools you need to help manage and
support the employee. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We’ve included this service at no extra cost for all clients
on our enhanced plus package. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not on our enhanced plus package? Not to worry. This
services is still available to you for the lowly price of £20 per referral. </p>

with employees whilst they’re absent. However this doesn’t end the day that
your employee walks back into work. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It’s important to schedule return to work meetings between
the employee and a member of HR or management. This helps to ensure the
employee feels supported back into the workplace, is provided with access to
any adjustments that may be appropriate, and has the opportunity to discuss any
concerns.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Structuring a return-to-work interview can be tricky, and it
is helpful to be as prepared as possible beforehand. That’s why we have
developed a return-to-work questionnaire service that provides your employee

the questionnaire to you in real time once it has been completed by the
employee. This provides you with a great template for your return-to-work
meeting, and encourages open and honest dialogue. </p>

supported, and ensuring that the return to work is sustained and manageable for
your employee. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">2020 has been a difficult year. Levels of anxiety are higher
than ever, and everywhere you look, tensions are growing between people. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Unfortunately, at the Smart Clinic we’ve noticed an increase
in the level of aggressive, rude or inappropriate behaviour towards our staff
or staff at our partner organisations. Whilst we make every effort to be understanding
of people’s situations and emotions, we must also protect the wellbeing of our
own employees. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Occupational health is a difficult sector, and for a member
of staff who has been referred to us, we understand it can be nerve-wracking. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We have a team of highly skilled, professional and wonderful
individuals, who are trained to deal with difficult situations and support
clients through challenging times. They’re at the heart of everything we do, however
their job role shouldn’t include dealing with personal abuse or insults. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As an organisation, we’re very open with our clients, and we’re
widely available to be contacted by telephone, email, via our smart phone app
or via our client portal. We respond quickly, and will always be as helpful and
informative as possible so as to alleviate any concerns. We would encourage our
clients to take advantage of this by asking us any questions, or voicing any
concerns in an appropriate manner, and our team would be delighted to assist. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Where staff feel that a conversation has become inappropriate,
they have been trained to politely terminate the conversation to protect their
own wellbeing. In these rare and difficult circumstances, clients will be asked
to take time to consider what they would like to ask, or say to us, then submit
these in writing to us. Where this is the case, please do not take offence, but
please do consider the wellbeing of the individual you’re speaking with. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Where individuals are still unable to engage with us
amicably, we reserve the right to cease any activity with the individual, and
inform their line manager of our rationale for this. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We would like to further emphasise that we fully appreciate
the difficulties, and challenges that many people are facing. We’re here to
discuss these with you, and support you wherever possible. We believe that
politeness and empathy with our clients shows them the respect they deserve, and
we’ll always continue to demonstrate this. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We hope you understand the need to protect our staff
wherever possible. </p>

pricing structure. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We’re extremely proud to have been able to freeze our prices
for five years in a row from 2015 to 2020, ensuring that our clients continue
to receive stability and value throughout any economic fluctuations. This has
meant stability during three UK general elections, an EU referendum, the Brexit
transition period and more recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However to ensure the longevity of our company, and the continued delivery of a high quality service to our clients, the time has come for us to review our pricing structure slightly. Nevertheless, we remain confident that our <a href="https://smartclinic.com/pricing/">prices</a> continue to reflect exceptional value for money, and maintain our ethos of simple, transparent and fair pricing. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That’s why we remain proud to publish the <a href="https://smartclinic.com/pricing/">pricing</a> for our packages online, and have developed a simple <a href="https://client.smartclinic.com/quotes/">web quote tool</a> which you can use when searching for an occupational health package. We’re not aware of any of our significant competitors doing this. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Our new annual pricing structure takes effect from 1<sup>st</sup> October 2020, and sees our <a href="https://smartclinic.com/essential-oh/">essential OH package</a> change to £20 per employee, our <a href="https://smartclinic.com/enhanced-oh/">enhanced package</a> to £30 per employee, our <a href="https://smartclinic.com/corporate-wellbeing/">corporate wellbeing package</a> remains at £40 per employee, and our <a href="https://smartclinic.com/enhanced-plus/">enhanced plus package</a> changes to £50 per employee. </p>
